Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Our Advanced Nurse Practitioner is a qualified professional who has undergone additional specialist training and is able to assess, treat, diagnose, refer and prescribe medication.
Home Visiting Advanced Nurse Practitioner
This service is for patients over the age of 65, and the housebound who have been identified as high risk for hospital admission. Our practitioner is a specialist in geriatric and palliative care.
Practice Nurses
We employ highly skilled nurses trained in the monitoring and treatment of chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, coronary heart disease, COPD and high blood pressure.
They also run minor illness clinics, can dress wounds, administer injections, deal with contraception and smear tests and generally give healthcare advice. Routine and urgent appointments to see a practice nurse may be made with our receptionists.
Healthcare Assistants
Healthcare assistants can assist with a range of clinical duties, for example, taking blood samples, blood pressure checks and ECGs under the guidance of the wider healthcare professional team.
