Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions require at least 2 working days (48 hours) to process and possibly longer if you need to see a doctor or authorise a repeat. Please note that prescription requests on your behalf, ie hospital requests, can take up to 5 working days to process.
Ordering a Repeat Prescription
If you take medication on a long-term basis, you can ask for a repeat prescription by:
Ordering with the NHS App
If you have an NHS Account, you can log in to your NHS Account to order your repeat prescription through the NHS App or NHS website. If you don’t have an NHS Account, visit the official NHS App webpage to learn how to set up an NHS Account.
Ordering Using SystemOnline
We offer an online service called SystmOnline which allows you to request repeat prescriptions and view your medical record. If you have the NHS App you may find it easier to access these features through the App instead.
If you want to use SystmOnline then you need to register for an account.
To set up an account, please speak to one of our Patient Service Advisors at reception or call us on 01536 518 886
In Person
You can drop off your repeat prescription slip in the collection box in the waiting room or there is also a postbox at the front of the building.
Sedative prescribing for fear of flying
Sedatives are not recommended for fear of flying. The reasons for this can be understood in our policy.
Medication Reviews
You may not need to see a doctor for this so you may be offered an appointment with the practice pharmacist or a practice nurse in a specialised clinic.
