GP Talks Shortlisted for National General Practice Award

We are delighted to share that our GP Talks programme has been shortlisted for the Clinical Improvement: Public Health Award at the General Practice Awards 2025.

GP Talks was created to give our clinicians the opportunity to speak directly to patients and the wider community. The short films and supporting content explain health topics in a clear and caring way, bringing a familiar, local voice to important public health messages.

We share GP Talks across a range of channels, covering topics including the MMR vaccine, cervical screening and melanoma.

Dr Angela Hartley, Medical Director and Executive Partner, said: “I’m delighted that GP Talks has been shortlisted for this award. It’s important that our patients hear trusted advice from local clinicians on topics that affect their everyday health. This recognition highlights how we, as GPs, can connect with our communities in meaningful ways.”

Our Chief Executive, Jessica Bawden, said: “Being shortlisted for this national award is a fantastic recognition of the creativity and hard work of our team. GP Talks shows what can be achieved when clinicians and communications colleagues work together to share health information in a clear, accessible and engaging way. I am very proud of everyone involved.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in December. We wish the best of luck to all our colleagues across the country who have been shortlisted.
